Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008)

This was the final time Peter Sallis was Wallace in this, before his retirement in 2010, as he died of old age in 2017. Besides, after the release of that ‘Were-Rabbit’, I don’t think their very short cartoon episodes of ‘Cracking Contraptions’ were that good enough. Thumbs down on those. But this here, a thumbs up,

Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, Nick Park didn’t do anymore stop motion animated movies until he did “Early Man” ten years later.

I saw this on TV channel Teletoon in October of 2011 months before that TV channel Teletoon became obtuse as how YTV did in Canada.

So in this last adventure of Wallace and Gromit, instead of window washing, or catching rabbits again, they were in the baking bread business. As they would deliver them door to door. During their business, they got themselves in a murder mystery as a woman who was once an icon, was stalking bread bakers and murdering them.

Gromit was on the case, as a Wallace was suspicious of that woman until he found out about the truth. During the mystery, Gromit was in love with a lady’s poodle named Fluffles who joined them when the movie was over.

I can’t tell you how they stopped her, cause well, that would be telling now wouldn’t it? So 9.5 out of 10 stars is what I give. Besides, you should’ve seen the references to such movies we know of.
