Based on the third and final novel of ‘The Maze Runner’ saga, this second sequel came to the final chapter, as we’ve been waiting for.
Since one of the boys vowed revenge on that W.C.K.D scientist who was portrayed by Patricia Clarkson, from the first sequel, they struck back. From a train battle, going through a tunnel with infected people, to rescuing children at the Last City, they made it in and came out together.
They did met a few familiar faces, as they joined the revolution. One of them was resurrected from the first movie, became very well, and another leader who lead against a fiery attack on the Last City. Barry Pepper as the resistance leader, he made it out. But this guy was portrayed by Walton Goggins. Who happened to be in “Predators”, and “The Hateful Eight”. And when you look at him, he was definitely like Barry Pepper that was destined to become a sheriff in Red Rock, Wyoming. Thanks to Quentin Tarantino’s new masterpiece.
The Last City, was in flames by the time that they made out. Especially when they rescued one of their friends, captured alive. But no one else made it out besides them. Everyone died by the time buildings collapsed, including the main W.C.K.D. flak tower.
What about Patrica Clarkson as the W.C.K.D. scientist? Rather than our main character portrayed by Dylan O’Brien killing her as an act of revenge, she was betrayed by her military commander, portrayed by Aiden Gillen. He got infected by the virus, that was newly evolved and how he didn’t care. But he did deserved a death wish. How did he die?
By learning the one thing that never knew. Fear the Walking Dead! Infected people, as they devoured him alive. Burn in hell for him, and burn in hell for that bitch. They were as dead as President Snow, portrayed by Donald Sutherland in “The Hunger Games”.
With a new life, a new home, and a new beginning, with no mazes, and none left of that World Catastrophe Kill zone Department, everything came to a successful conclusion.
Throughout all three movies, besides Barry Pepper, Patricia Clarkson and Walton Goggins, there were Dylan O’Brien, Ki Hong Lee, Blake Cooper, Will Poulter, Aml Ameen, Dexter Darden, and Nathalie Emmanuel as our main maze runners. All three movies directed by Wes Ball, and based on the books by James Dashner. 9/10 stars is what I’ll give here. And I’ll tell you one thing…W.C.K.D. is never good to be true.
This is how a legacy is. This shall be a maze runner legend. Light up the darkness.
