Silver Bullet (1985)

Based on the horror novel by Stephen King, Gary Busey, Lawrence Tierney and Everett McGill were in this werewolf tale that turns out to be a success.

While “Stand By Me”, “The Shining”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, “The Dead Zone” and “Misery”, were a success and made movie history a bit, so did this here. The rest such as “Carrie”, I gave them a quadruple ‘F’ minus.

In the spring of 1976, in a small town in Maine, a reverend only becomes a werewolf when the moon is full. Therefore, he killed almost 10 people in a few nights. However, a handicapped boy (like Rob Kovic) discovered everything. His sister too. And by relying on their uncle, to a wise craftsman, they used two silver necklaces to be melted down, into only one silver bullet.

Silver bullets only kill werewolves. Regular bullets is not enough. But in “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of The Were-Rabbit”, only a 24 carat gold bullet can kill the massive rabbit. But it takes a full magazine to kill lots of werewolves. Cause you may need not just rifles, but the 30 caliber machine gun, the 50 caliber machine gun, the M1 carbine, the M1 Garand, the M60 machine gun, and the Vickers, all loaded with silver bullets. Lots of silver bullets. To get into hunting werewolves.

9/10 stars is what I give this. Except for a few words that they spoke of in the beginning when it’s daylight. In fact, this was four years after “The Howling” was made.
