20th anniversary of Princess Mononoke (Studio Ghibli)

From Studio Ghibli, comes another movie anniversary since “Only Yesterday”. And that is “Princess Mononoke”.

Coming to North America for a limited time around Christmas, they did two showtimes in one event. In just one day. One in Japanese, and the other in English.  In theatres internationally, lets say at the TIFF Lighbox, they want to celebrate movie anniversaries to that legendary studio in Japan. On their masterpieces, as well as making a bundle set of Studio Ghibli movies on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The ones Hayao Miyazaki did. In fact they did, in stores now. From “The Castle of Cagilostro” to “The Wind Rises”, they are out in stores everywhere.

It’s great to celebrate an anniversary to that movie. For it was the same to “Only Yesterday”. Hayao Miyazaki and everyone else in Studio Ghibl, must be very proud of themselves. They may in fact, must be celebrating for sure.

Ever since I saw this on VHS long ago, I knew for what was going on lately in this masterpiece. When Ashiktaka was infected by a demon pig, he had to find a cure before the infection mark he got could get any worse and kill him.

And when he ran into a village, there was a lady who wanted to take on the forest god. But that wolf girl wouldn’t let her. Ever since she was raised by those big white wolves, she had to stop her. Until they did together. Both Ashitska and San, the wolf girl.

A complete masterpiece this is, as I gave this 10/10 stars and a ‘A+++’. How can I thank Hayao Miyazaki for everything on this? In fact, Claire Danes as that wolf girl was outstanding.

So here’s to a happy 20th anniversary Studio Ghibli’s “Princess Mononoke”. And thank you very much for that masterpiece Studio Ghibli. I love it really!!
