For Me and My Gal

Since Judy Garland played Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”, she went on into other movies as well. She met Fred Astaire in “Easter Parade” as that must’ve been good. But in this one I saw, this was Gene Kelly’s very first movie he ever did in his life. Before “Anchors Aweigh”, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and “Singin in the Rain”. This was the very first movie he and Judy Garland had ever been together as partners in this.

In this romantic musical movie, when WWI broke out for the US before the Lusitania sank, a brother went off to Europe as her sister was left behind. She met a good friend as they fell in love. When they went into acting and doing these musicals, they were doing well just before her brother was K.I.A in battle. Out on the Western Front. After that, something had to be done with. So after a fix to that, they presumably became a great couple.

Its a remarkable one. The way movies are, this is one of them. That’s why I give this 8/10 stars on this romantic musical movie.
