The Flight of the Phoenix (1965)

James Stewart, Richard Attenborough, Ernest Borgnine, George Kennedy, and Hardy Kruger star in this classic movie. Based on a novel, a cargo typed passenger plane gets broken up in a sandstorm as it lands as the pilots and passengers get stranded in the desert.

Their only hope for survival, was to rebuild the plane and get to civilization. Thanks to one of the passengers who was an airplane engineer, they did it as they made it back alive. They named it, “The Phoenix” as they were happy they made it to civilization, by drinking lots of water. Their faces were getting burned as skin pieces were breaking off. It’s tough when you need to survive. Half of the passengers died as there were lucky ones that survived.

This is a 10/10 great classic movie. They made a remake in 2004 with Dennis Quaid, Giovanni Ribsi, Hugh Laurie, and Tyrese Gibson. I do not like that one, but this is a hit classic.
