Pokémon 8th movie: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew

In September 2014, Teletoon aired this anime movie with my own eyes as I’ve heard about this movie and it was great!! I saw this with my own eyes as I rate this, 8 1/2 out of 10 stars. Close to 9/10 stars with a bit of percents to this rate. And I just love this movie.

This took placed in the Pokémon: Advanced Battle season.

Long ago, in the Pokémon world in a distant land, before a war broke out, a warrior and a Lucario that can talk telepathically arose to fight the forces of darkness and putting an end to the war. Armed with all their strengths, and the powers of aura and righteousness, they made their effort to save the kingdom. The warrior was sacrificed as his Lucario was placed in his staff. It was the only way they can make their righteousness.

Years later, centuries maybe, Ash, his Pikachu, May, Max, Brock and all of their Pokémon have made a visit to the palace as they wore wonderful costumes. May wore the best dress as Max was like a squire. There was Pikachu like a jester, and how Ash was like the same guardian warrior thar was lost years ago.

They had a wonderful ball at a dance. I really enjoyed how May danced wonderfully. If Plutarch Heavensbee were in this by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, she would enjoy dancing with him. Team Rocket was there somehow as they wanted to enjoy.

However, with their Pokémon playing, and a agent spying, a Mew came and took Pikachu and Meowth to the mountain far away. This made them surprised and how the Lucario appeared from the staff. He realized things have changed, many years later.

Discussing with the queen and all this, Ash was like the same guardian who sacrificed himself in the legend. Because of his looks maybe and the costume he wore. Then came that friend who was the agent as she became a good friend to Ash and his friends. She wanted to solve the mystery of Mew, as Brock knew that girl. He was falling in live with him. Finally, a rescue mission was on as they set off to find Pikachu in the mountain far away.

They wouldn’t give up. When they made camp, some footage was from the series premiere of “Pokémon” on the first episode from the first season as it was aired in 1997. “Pokémon: I Choose You!” as that it was the title, and two more episodes were the series premiere of that. It was worldwide when this did, along with other episodes.

Lucario and Ash did had a fight, but felt sorry later. When they reached the mountain and climbing it, avoiding traps and everything, they finally found Pikachu as they met Meowth and Mew. Jesse and James came along quietly as they wanted Meowth back.

When there was a problem to the mountain, Lucario sacrificed himself as they saved the mountain and all of it’s Pokémon. It had a wonderful end as they made it back, as the queen thanked Ash and all of his friends for everything they did. While the credits role, it showed what happened after that as they played the song, “We Will Meet Again”. Almost similar to “We’ll Meet Again” from the ending of “Dr. Strangelove”.

But I am very proud on this anime movie and how Teletoon aired this. Like what I said on rating this, 8 1/2 out of 10 stars.
