The Flintstones (1994)

I was a small boy when this came on YTV, like it was a very old movie. But it was a live version of the Hanna Barbara cartoon, “The Flintstones”. Starring John Goodman as Fred Flintstone and Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble.

I thought slavery in the Stone Age was for those cavemen, but were working in a quarry. Even for Fred as they did a live intro like the cartoon. It started as Fred gave Barney enough money so they could adopt a child which was
Bam-Bam. Wilma thought it was wonderful, even for Betty, but more than we thought. Bam Bam that I saw, a ruffian as he wanted to smash things. Never wanted to listen until he did.

So with those friends together, Barney let Fred win in his own work as Fred got a new job in the quarry. He was becoming more popular and getting more money than he thought.

But after thought and a fight, they make things right to the quarry and Bedrock as they stop that madman for doing such things. They saved the day, stopped the crime, as that madman was covered in concrete.

This was the first to the cavemen as concrete was discovered. In today, we call this cement. But money didn’t matter for them. They matter is friendship. And the movie ended with a live version of the ending scene of the cartoon version of “The Flintstones”.

“C-” on a movie like this. But was good. Even for when Fred is on his toes for bowling.
