The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

In 2008, I’ve never seen Keanu Reeves as the legendary Klaatu. In this remake of the 1950 classic.

A giant sphere lands in New York as it pops out a cocoon that slowly makes the human Klaatu. Also comes G.O.R.T. Like the 1950 version but more gigantic, alien type and moves like a giant.

Klaatu tries to warn the Earth that things might happen. Major worldwide as a dust storm eats it’s path, vehicles destroyed, animals in danger as Klaatu walks on water, and has mind power. Also, there would be the loss of energy to the world, and losing humanity.

Taking down helicopters and heading to the giant sphere, Klaatu enters it as it leaves the Earth.

Besides Keanu, there was Jennifer Connolly, Jaden Smith, John Cleese, James Hong, Kathy Bates, Kyle Chandler, Jon Hamm, and Brandon T. Jackson. Even though there was so much going on in that movie, we all have to be environmentally friendly, but always trust an alien like Klaatu. There was even the words “Klaatu barada nikto”. Hollywood’s famous quote. That was first in the 1951 film as it was used in the “Evil Dead” movies and “Army of Darkness” with Bruce Campbell. He didn’t even say the last part of the word when he forgot it. In “Scary Movie 5” finally, with the Book of the Dead, they used the words “Gort Klaatu barada nikto”. That part in the “Evil Dead” parody was hilarious. If only Erik would trust that movie.

So if you need a taste of passwords, you can use the words “Klaatu barada nikto”.
