Vincent Price (1911- 1993)

Of Hollywood’s famous horror film actors, this was one I would not want to ever forget. Vincent Price born in 1911, died at 82 in 1993. He was known for the best films I know. Those were…

1. “House of Wax”, about a madman of wax museum who builds his new one by murdering people and using them as wax statues. Used to be in 3D in 1953.

2. “The Fly”, about a scientist, who accidentally swapped head and arms of a common housefly. It was ugly, on the way the flys head was on a person. Then Vincent Price believed for what he saw even when the guys head and arm is on a fly body and was eaten by a spider.

3. “The Three Musketeers”, based in the book by Alexander Dumas. In 1948, same story as Vincent plays as Richelieu. Then came Gene Kelly and Lana Turner.

4. “The Invisible Man Returns” 1940, a sequel to the 1933 classic with Claude Rains.

5. “The Ten Commandments”, as Baka with Charlton Heston and Yul Brunner. On the whole story
of Moses, he frees all of Egypt from the awkward pharaoh as he punished them by turning the water into blood, and crossing the Red Sea.

6. “House on Haunted Hill”, a 1950’s classic about house guests who have to spend the night in a haunted house in order to win a big amount of cash.

7. “The Last Man on Earth”, based on the book “I Am Legend”, he survives as he kills vampires in order to survive.

8. “The Trouble With Girls”, about a traveling show band as he is with Elvis Presley.

9. “Thriller”, a music video by Michael Jackson as his voice is in this one.

10. “Edward Sisscorhands”, directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp, and Winona Ryder, Vincent plays his final role in this film before his death. He was the inventor who was gonna give Edward real hands.

So I’d say Vincent is a good horror film actor, even in his movies. Especially when he met Johnny Depp.
